Abstract

Im Zuge der stetigen Erhöhung von Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten besteht das Erfordernis, Übertragungstechniken einzusetzen, die eine optimale Ausnutzung des betreffenden Übertragungsmediums ermöglichen. Im Teilnehmeranschlussbereich werden als Übertragungsmedium Kabel verwendet. Die Übertragungsraten sind hier an die Bandbreite des Kabels auch während des Betriebes anzupassen. Die beim Stand der Technik verwendeten Übertragungsverfahren können diesen Anforderungen nur bedingt gerecht werden. Die Erfindung schafft hier Abhilfe, indem Informationssignale (D) und Steuersignale (SCM) in einer Rahmenstruktur mit variabel einstellbaren Geschwindigkeiten übertragen werden, und die Steuersignale (M) zur Anpassung der Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit an das Kabel und die Bedürfnisse des Teilnehmers verwendet werden können.
