Description

Plattenartiges BauteilPlate-like component
The invention relates to a plate-like component for forming facades, ceilings, doors, partition walls, room dividers or the like, • consisting of a plate made of glass, which is provided on at least one side with at least one subsequently applied layer.
For the formation of facades, ceilings, doors, partitions, room dividers or the like. Plate-like components are known which consist of a plate made of glass. The glass plate can be clear, matt, structured, colored or vapor-coated. However, it is often desired that the glass component has a special colored decor on one surface. To achieve this, it is known to provide a surface of the glass plate with a special paint. It is also known to apply a decorative film to one side of the glass plate. Both the decorative film and the paint have the disadvantage that no particularly intimate connection with the glass plate is achieved, which means that both the paint and the decorative film can detach from the glass plate. The plate-like component loses its beautiful appearance. On the other hand, if the glass plate breaks, there is a risk that loose shards or broken pieces can lead to injuries or accidents. Because of this risk, such plate-like components made of glass are used and used only to a limited extent. The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a plate-like component for the formation of facades, ceilings, doors, partitions, room dividers or the like, which consists of a plate made of glass, the inside and / or outside with a special decor and if necessary also is provided with a flat reinforcement.
To achieve this object, it is proposed according to the invention in a plate-like component of the type described in the introduction that the layer is formed from a curable polymer.
Such a configuration increases the flexural strength and the fracture toughness of the building board. In the event of breakage, there are no loose fragments or broken pieces. The plate-like component does not necessarily have to be flat, it can also be rounded or angled. The layer of the cured polymer forms a particularly strong and non-detachable connection with the glass plate. In addition, the layer can also form a reinforcement for the glass plate. The polymer can have a wide variety of colors and structures. However, it is advantageous to use the layer made of the curable polymer as a connecting layer for connecting additional layers made of different materials or material combinations. It is possible to arrange a gas- and / or liquid-permeable decorative layer in the layer made of the curable polymer. This decorative layer can consist of a liquid, curable coating, a film, a fleece, of paper or textiles consist. It is also possible to arrange a special cover layer on the layer made of the curable polymer. This cover layer can also be formed from a film, a laminate, a fiber fabric, from plastic foam, mineral wool or also from a polymer, optionally also in a combination of these materials. The layer of the curable polymer ensures the non-releasable connection. Finally, it is also possible to connect two glass plates, each provided with a layer of a curable polymer, in the region of these layers, in particular via a binder and / or an insulating layer.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in a drawing in a highly simplified manner and drawn only in sections. Figures 1 to 4 show sections through differently designed components according to the invention.
Die Aushärtung der Schicht 3 kann entweder durch Temperatur oder aufgrund einer chemischen oder fotosynthetischen Reaktion, mittels eines Lichtes, eines Gases, eines Feststoffes oder einer FlüssigkeitFIG. 1 of the drawing shows the simplest embodiment of a building board 1 according to the invention, which consists of a board 2 made of glass. A layer 3 of a curable polymer, for example a silicate gel, is applied to this plate 2, which can have a thickness of up to 10 mm, made of glass. This layer 3 can be rolled up, poured on, spread on or sprayed on. In order to achieve the desired visual impression, the layer 3 is colored in a special way, whereby this coloring can be the same or different over the entire surface. The hardening of the layer 3 can either be due to temperature or due to a chemical or photosynthetic reaction, by means of a light, a gas, a solid or a liquid
erfolgen. The thickness of the layer 3 can, depending on
Intended use, from a few μ to about 2.0 mm. In a modification of this exemplary embodiment, the layer 3 made of the hardenable silicate gel can also consist of several individual layers, which are applied one after the other and can be colored differently.
The exemplary embodiment in FIG. 2 initially corresponds to the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1. In the layer 3, for example made of the hardenable silicate gel, there is, however, a gas and / or liquid-permeable decorative layer 4, which can consist of a film, a fleece, paper or textiles. This decorative layer 4 is rolled into the layer 3, for example when the layer 3 is sprayed on, by means of a type of rolling process. Here, too, curing takes place in the manner described above. With a corresponding thickness of the decorative layer 4, it can be impregnated exclusively with the material of the layer 3, that is to say with the silicate gel, so that the decorative layer 4 also forms the layer 3 directly.
In the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 3, layer 3 of the building board, for example made of the hardenable silicate gel, serves exclusively as a connecting layer. The layer 3 can be formed in the same way as in the embodiment of FIG. 2. This means that there can be a decorative layer 4 in the layer 3 or that the decorative layer 4 so is heavily impregnated with the material of layer 3 that the decorative layer 4 forms layer 3 directly. A cover layer 5 is arranged on the layer 3, which can consist of a film, a liquid coating, a laminate, a fiber fabric, plastic foam or a polymer. A connection with foreign types of polyester, epoxy and phenolic resins as well as with paints or other coatings is also possible. The layer 3 ensures a firm connection between the cover layer 5 and the plate 2 made of glass. Such a building board 1 can thus also be classified in the category of fiber-reinforced glasses.
In the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 4, the plate-like component 1 has two glass plates 2. Each glass plate 2 is now provided with a layer 3, for example made of the hardenable silicate gel. The layers 3 of this exemplary embodiment can also be designed similarly to the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 2 and 3 and, for example, be designed to be decorative. After these layers 3 have hardened, they are connected to one another via a binder layer 6. This binder layer 6 can also consist of fiber laminate.
If the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 4 is modified, it is possible to use the binder layer 6, in particular if it is formed from a fiber laminate, as a type of intermediate layer for the production of a sandwich laminate. The so-called sandwich core can consist of wood, hard foam or the like and can be constructed symmetrically or asymmetrically. The fiber laminate can contain glass fibers, synthetic fibers and / or natural fibers.
