Definitions
- the present invention relates to an article that has efflorescence properties, which provides essential novelty characteristics and notable advantages over conventional articles of the same type, existing in the current state of the art.
- the invention proposes the development of an article shaped as a postcard, cristma, congratulation or similar, in which one or more parts of said article have the aforementioned effect of efflorescence when the basis of the respective article is introduced in a predetermined liquid, consisting of a chemical composition specially developed for the proposed purpose, and having provided that the parts of the article in which the efflorescence occurs, capable of adopting flat or three-dimensional shapes, as appropriate, are perfectly delimited, properly shaped so that they produce the desired effect of the appearance of those formations that reproduce the appearance of flowers or snow.
- the scope of the present invention is very wide, and in a special way it is included within the industry dedicated to the manufacture of stationery, gift, advertising promotions, toys and the like.
- the greeting cards and the other usual articles of the aforementioned type are made following rules that are maintained for a long time, which has caused them to lose part of their appeal. Therefore, it would be convenient and advantageous to be able to contribute an article that, being basically destined to the same applications as those known in the state of the art, supposes some novel contribution that can even re-boost its use.
- SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) (card), so that together they simulate diverse situations.
- the growth of these formations obeys, as has been said, the effect known as efflorescence, so that it occurs when the article immerses its base in a liquid composition prepared especially for this purpose, said composition being absorbed by the material in which the article is manufactured, and all areas in which it is not desired for the aforementioned effect to be developed are conveniently protected.
- the article manufacturing material must be such that it allows for easy absorption of the liquid composition, with materials such as paper, cardboard, fabrics, and others of similar characteristics being preferred for this.
- the development of the aforementioned floral formations occurs after a certain time, being of progressive growth over time, that is, beginning to appear after a minimum time after the introduction of the base of the article in the liquid composition, and developing said formations during a period that will normally be one or more hours.
- Figure 1 shows a schematic view of a greeting card taken as a preferred embodiment
- Figure 2 illustrates, also schematically, the same card of the previous Figure, inserted into a container containing the liquid substance prepared for the attainment of the efflorescence effect, and
- FIG 3 depicts, again schematically, the same illustration of Figure 2 in which the efflorescence effect has materialized in certain parts thereof.
- the card of the preferred embodiment is coated, in all those areas where it is not desired for the efflorescence effect to occur, with a protective treatment that, as said, prevents the absorbed composition through the card it can come into contact with the air, and therefore the efflorescence can occur. Therefore, following the exemplary embodiment, it can be assumed that it is the parts of the edges of the card, starting at about half its height, that have been chosen as efflorescence zones, as well as a portion (2 ) arranged, for example, at a certain height in one of the two mutually folding parts.
- the chosen areas can incorporate, if desired, drawings that, when combined with the snow-flowers that appear, reproduce a certain situation.
- the use of the card is extremely simple.
- the efflorescence composition will be supplied with the article (1), so it will be enough to arrange that composition inside a container (3), and then insert the card (1) on the corresponding side, as shown in Figure 2.
- the mentioned composition will be ascending through the body of the card (1), and after a certain time, it will reach
- SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) areas previously left unprotected, coming into contact with air, and then the effect of efflorescence begins. This last situation has been represented in Figure 3, in which after a time of growth, which can last a few hours, the formations (4) as flowers will have developed in the planned areas, which in the embodiment example are an extension of the edges of the card (1) and a portion referenced with (2).
- the invention provides various alternatives for the composition of the products contained inside the container (3) and which will cause efflorescence.
- it could simply consist of water, in which case the efflorescent product should be incorporated in the card material, or it may even be in a solid state, in the form of powder or tablets, to which the user must add water at the time that decides to carry out its use.
- Other forms of presentation can also be provided for said product, such as gel, paste, etc.
- the invention is not limited to a greeting card, but may be applied to articles that take any other form, flat or three-dimensional, or that are constructed with other materials that have the capacity to absorb liquids.
- the efflorescence zones may also consist of decorative elements incorporated or added to a card or other conventional article, such elements being able to constitute an appropriate combination that includes, if desired, a variable number of efflorescent elements, and / or another number likewise variable of elements that do not have the aforementioned effect of efflorescence.
- a postcard, greeting card or any other type which is a flat configuration
- SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) but in which, by folding a pre-marked area, the formation of a given three-dimensional figure can be performed, and so that the effect of efflorescence can affect specific areas of the flat portion of the card and / or the figure three-dimensional obtained.
- This is also especially applicable in the case of the known "cut-outs", in which, by light pressure, it is possible to separate a predetermined portion of a flat sheet, for the consequent construction of a concrete figure that is generally of three dimensions.
- the invention is not limited to the use of a single efflorescence composition, but any composition that is suitable for the desired effect can be used.
- the invention has provided that compositions formed based on products considered non-toxic, of the type that are authorized for use in the food industry, that is, of the type of those that can come into contact, can also be used With the food itself.
