Abstract
A tiller using two alternate movement systems is composed by an engine-gearbox unit (1), two wheels (3), two chain track (5) assemblies and a three-point-linkage mechanism (7) acted by a hydraulic system including two hydraulic cylinders (8) and a pump (9) is the subject of the present invention. The tiller is characterized by two moving systems, which are working alternate; a wheeled system and a chain track system; and a hydraulic three-point-linkage system, which can be used in the rear work position or in the front work position.
Description
A TILLER USING TWO ALTERNATE
MOVEMENT SYSTEMS
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of agricultural and industrial works small equipment.More specifically, the inventon relates to an enlarged load tiller easy to manipulate destined for little areas, where the tractors can't be used, like in a closed space or on a narrow surface.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
All actual tillers construction are wheeled. In the purpose to increase the load, tillers are provided by different wheel models. If for public roads pneumatic tires are compulsory, for land works they are changing with steel profϊlate wheels.often with weights assembly. So they increase the soil-wheel contact strength and the peripherial force, which are limited by the maximum admitted soil-wheel contact pressure and the maximum wheel-shaft torque. It is known and an other tiller variant described in the patent Fr.2586618, where wheel shafts permit to substitute wheels by two additional gear system assemblies provided with special belts. The substitute operation is difficult and the tiller must be raise.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A tiller according by the present invention obtains a better adaptation at various work exigencies, using one of the two moving systems, which it is providing. So, if for on public roads run, it will use a known wheeled system with pneumatic tires (3), obtaining a rapid speed range in transport; for land works it will use a chain track (5) system, obtaining an enlarged load concomitantly with a speed diminution. The moving system substitute is an elementary operation, which don't requires the useless system dismantling. A simple downward chain track assemblies rotation succeeded by a bar (6) fitting is enough for to pass from the wheeled system to the chain track system. This operation is reversible. For the chain track system correct adaptation to tools must have a three- point-linkage (7) assembly, which is upwards by two hydraulic little cylinders (8), actuate by a pump (9). The old couplings (10) remain unmodified and keep theirs functions for the wheeled system. This invention has together known advantages for earth works which chain tracks offer like large load and admittance on swampy soils, stability in the longitudinal plane, easy to manipulate on load and advantages for a
satisfactory transport speed on a public road offered by the classic wheeled system concomitantly with the way protection. The following figures illustrate a general appliance example for this invention:
Figure 1. A tiller with the chain track moving system in act prepared for work, and the rear three-point-linkage mechanism fitted.
Figure 2. A tiller with the chain track moving system in act prepared for work and the front three-point-linkage mechanism fitted.
Figure 3. A tiller with the wheeled system in act, prepared for work.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
A tiller using two moving alternate systems are composed of an engine- gearbox unit l,as they are using for the known tillers. Each gearbox output shaft act a chain track wheel 2 and a pneumatic tire wheel 3.The chain track wheel 2 is leaning on two bearings included in a frame 4. A chain track 5 is running around this frame. In addition, the frame 4 includes and a chain track leaning mechanism and a chain track tensile mechanism. The external chain track radius on the wheel 2 is less than the tired wheel 3 dynamic radius. For the same output shaft torque, the peripherial load will be more for the chain track than the tired wheel. A few adjustable bars 6 keep the assembly rigidity and are upholding a three-point-linkage mechanism 7,and a small hydraulic cylinder 8.A hydraulic pump 9 is acting by the tiller handle and is using to control the three-point-linkage mechanism attitude. For the wheeled system work, old tiller couplings 10 are recommended. One or more weights 11 can use to balance of the tiller.
The figure 1 shows a tiller according the present invention with booth chain tracks 5 sitting on the soil. Concomitantly, booth tired wheels 3 are without the soil contact. In this three-point-linkage mechanism rear position, the tiller can perform many agricultural works like to plough and to weeds control.
The figure 2 is differing by the figure 1 because the same three-point- linkage mechanism position (7) has a front fitting positin. This tiller variant can perform many works for earth digging, for various materials loading and transport, snow removing, pest control and others services.
The figure 3 shows a tiller according by the present invention with booth chain tracks assemblies in an upward position rotate and fix. Booth pneumatic tired wheels are on the soil contact. This position permits the movement on public roads and all the other works possible in the old wheeled variant.
What is claimed is:
1. A tiller comprising two moving systems which are working alternate .The first moving system is wheeled (3); the second use two chain tracks (5) assemblies and the work system change is basing on an elementary rotation of chain tracks assemblies following a fix.
2. A tiller of claim 1 where on the chain tracks assemblies has a three-point-linkage rear mechanism (7).
3. A tiller of claim 2 where on the chain tracks assemblies has a three-point-linkage front mechanism (7).
Claims
1. A tiller, characterized in that on the both driving shafts are straightly simultaneous fitted two moving systems ; a first wheeled system (3) and a second chain track system to consist of two triangular rounded corners form assemblies (5),which can rotate around the mooted shaft axle, where are fitted two chain track wheels (2) and can be fix in two positions which is establishing the soil contact to the first or to the second system by choice.
2. A tiller of claim 1 where on the chain tracks assemblies is a three-point- linkage rear mechanism(7).
3. A tiller of claim 1 where on the chain tracks assemblies is a three-point- linkage front mechanism.
