Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the production of an instantaneous water heater (1) consisting of a water pipe (2) and an electrical heating rod (3). The water pipe (2) and the heating rod (3) are in thermal contact and are connected to each other by fusion. A connecting web (23, 24) is embodied on the heating rod (3) and/or the water pipe, a contact surface (8 or 16) being embodied in the front face opposite to the water pipe (2) or the heating rod in said connecting web. When the heating rod (3) and the water pipe (2) are connected, the contact surface of the heating rod (3) comes to rest on the contact surface (8) of the water pipe (2). In said position, the heating rod (3) is welded to the water pipe (2) in such a way that the contact surfaces (8, 16) fuse together. The instantaneous water heater (1) according to the invention makes it possible to select higher heating outputs while preserving the same dimensions and enabling easy and cost-effective production of an instantaneous water heater (1) welded as described above.
