The invention relates to a method for attaching an electrical heating coil embedding Insulating compound in ducts of panel radiators, such as those used for hot water devices, among other things Find. Procedures of this kind are not in themselves new. So it is z. B. in the manufacture of hotplates known with tubular heaters to start from a metal plate on the top and bottom is provided with corresponding channels, the flanks of which are used to attach the on the underside of the plate located heating pipe are plastically deformed. The deformation takes place with the help of rotating tools, whose working edges bend the channel flanks around the pipe.

In contrast, the invention takes a different approach. The starting point is here too Metal plate with channels on the top and bottom, their flanks for fastening the heating element be plastically deformed. According to the invention, however, it is proposed a metal plate to use with very thin channel flanks, with the insulating compound in the channels under high Pressure is pressed in such that the channel flanks bulge without the aid of a tool and thereby the insulating compound is prevented from falling out after it has solidified. The insulating compound thus, to a certain extent, forms the tool that the channel flanks are used for fastening them the right shape.

The invention and its details are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows a section through a plate radiator intended for a hot water device in the various Shows phases of its manufacture.

B. made of brass, in the pressing process channels in the way are embossed that between the channels 2, 3 and 3, 4, which are open towards the underside of the plate, respectively a channel 5, 6 open to the top of the plate is located. The flanks 7, 8 of these channels are very thin held. When pressing in one that fills the channel cross-section up to approximately half the height Portion of insulating compound 9 under high pressure, the channel flanks are therefore bulged in a way as the middle part of the figure shows. If the heating coil 11 is now inserted and the complete Filling the channel necessary remaining portion of insulating compound 10 introduced, as in the right half the picture shown, so prevent the out-method of fastening

bauchten Kanalflanken die Isoliermasse 9, 10 und die Heizwendel 11 am Herausfallen.channel flanks bulged the insulating compound 9, 10 and the heating coil 11 from falling out.

The fact that the heating coil receiving channels in the panel radiator of the invention 2, 3, 4 are limited by upwardly open channels 5, 6, makes this special for hot water devices suitable because the heating coil can give off its heat to the water on three sides.
