Abstract

The present invention relates with covering calcium carbonate (CaCO3) minerals which are mixed with stearic acid (C18H36O2) by a mixer. The mixture is sent to a hammer crusher, and stearic acid (C18H36O2) vapourizes in the hammer crusher between 80 °C-150 °C. Then, the surface of the minerals are covered. The present invention relates with covering calcium carbonate (CaCO3) minerals with stearic acid (C18H36O2) which are mixed by a mixer. The mixture is poured into hammer crusher and when the heat is between 80 °C and 150 °C, stearic acid (C18H36O2) vapourizes so the surface of the minerals are covered.

Description

DESCRIPTION
Covering Micro Minerals with Fat Acid in Hammer Crushers
The invention is related with covering micro calcium carbonate (CaCOa) which is used especially in the PVC pump industry and PVC window industry with fat acid aiming to prevent it getting damp and water
The covering process that is subject to this invention has been realized using the techniques improved by the firms Alpine in Germany and Omya in France In this tecnique fat acid (stearic acid) is heated firstly After it becomes fluid, it is sprayed on calcium carbonate (CaCOs) thus the particles are covered But all the particles cannot be covered by this tecnique and graet quantitiy of energy is used both in the process of heating and spraying fat acid The technical problems that the invention aims to solve are - To cover calcium carbonate (CaCOs) minerals with fat acid completely,
- To reduce the consumption of heat in the present covering system It is important to cover calcium carbonate (CaCOa), which has been used in PVC pump and PVC window industry, with fat acid and thus to pervent it getting damp and water It will not plug up the mixer and the spirals owing to not getting dump Calcium carbonate (CaCOs) will be more lasting and will be adaptive to organic environment On the other hand, as it is dispersed easily, it would be easy to use it
Calcium carbonate (CaCOs) minerals that will be covered are mixed with stearic acid (C18H36O2) by a mixer (the ratio is 2-8 kg stearic acid (C18H36O2) for 1 ton calcium carbonate (CaCOa) ) and the mixture is sent to hammer crusher to be covered
The hammer crusher used in this covering method may be of different sizes, length and diameter Calcium carbonate (CaCOs) and stearic acid (C18H36O2) are mixed before they are sent to hammer crusher At first, great quantity of mixture is sent to make it heated After reaching the convenient heat, the mixture quantity is reduced Stearic acid (C18H36O2) mixed with calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in a mixer vapourizes immediately when it is sent to the heated hammer crusher. Calcium carbonate (CaCOs) particles are dispersed by the hammers in the hammer crusher and covered.
The seperator connected to the axle of the hammer crusher adjusts the speed and the quantity of the material while they are passing to seperator section. The passing speed and the quantity is adjusted by adjusting the length and diameter of the seperator thus, all the particals in the hammer crusher are covered.

Claims

1 ) Covering the surface of the minerals is characterized in that calcium carbonate (CaCOs) minerals are mixed with stearic Acid (C18H36O2) by a mixer then the mixer is sent to hammer crusher and stearic acid (CaCOs) vapourizes in the hammer crusher in 80 °C-150 °C
2) The covering method according to claim 1 is characterized in that calcium carbonate (CaCO3) minerals are mixed with stearic acid (C18H36O2) by a mixer and hammer crushers are used in the covering process 3) In the coveπng method according to claim 1 , the hammer crusher and the seperator is characterized in that they are used in the covering process to adjust the speed and the quantitiy of the material while it is passing
4) The coveπng method according to claim 1 is characterized in that great quantity of mixture that is sent to hammer crusher results in rising the heat Then stearic acid (C18H36O2) vapourizes and the surfaces of the minerals are covered
