Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à la protection des surfaces immergées des coques de navires à flot, et consiste à effectuer un nettoyage hydrodynamique en immersion de ces surfaces et des structures hydrauliques contre l'encrassement biologique. Ce procédé consiste à générer des conditions de cavitation dans la zone de nettoyage en appliquant simultanément un jet d'eau et un rayonnement acoustique sur la surface à nettoyer. Le rayonnement acoustique est produit par un générateur acoustique qui est disposé à l'intérieur d'un organe de travail, et qui fonctionne grâce à l'énergie produite par la pression dynamique du jet même. L'application d'un jet d'eau hydrodynamique sur la surface à nettoyer se fait selon un angle ne dépassant pas 45° de sorte que la limite extrême de la zone de nettoyage, par rapport à l'axe de l'organe de travail, se trouve dans la surface à nettoyer. Ce dispositif se présente sous forme d'un assemblage comprenant une chambre résonante cylindrique. Le diamètre de cette chambre est supérieur au diamètre de l'ouverture de sortie du tube convergent, et au diamètre de l'ouverture d'entrée de la partie de sortie qui se présente sous forme d'un cornet. Cette chambre comprend également des parois d'extrémité qui définissent, avec l'ouverture de sortie du tube convergent et avec l'ouverture d'entrée du cornet, des buses d'entrée et de sortie, respectivement, de la chambre résonante, laquelle constitue avec les buses le générateur acoustique.
