Abstract
Cette invention concerne un appareil d'usinage laser qui comprend un puissant laser à gaz à écoulement transversal. Ce laser est capable d'émettre un faisceau de sortie de forme elliptique, lequel faisceau est étiré dans une direction perpendiculaire au plan du flux de gaz qui traverse une chambre à décharge de gaz. La fenêtre de sortie transparente et la lentille de l'objectif possèdent une forme étirée qui est fonction de la section du rayonnement laser sortant qui les traverse.
