Abstract

The aim of the invention is to guarantee an increased gas flow in an arc plasma generator. To this end, the invention provides an arc plasma generator comprising an anode (2) and a cathode (3) in which a fluid is fed to a discharge chamber (16) via a first fluid stream located on the side of the anode and via a second fluid stream located on the side of the cathode. A third fluid stream is provided through which the fluid flows to the discharge chamber (16). In addition, a heat-conducting body is provided which comprises at least one channel having regular boundary walls and at least one coiled flow channel on a face situated on the side of the discharge chamber. In addition, the invention can comprise a sleeve-like insert (11) which is provided with a channel situated on the outer surface thereof, a coiled flow channel which is located on the side of the anode, and bore holes.
