Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de transaction financière permettant l'utilisation de systèmes de crédit/débit automatisés sur des postes (10) de travail informatisés sans que des équipements nouveaux ou additionnels ne soient requis. Une disquette (19) ou un disque (18) compact numérique contient une information comprenant l'identification de l'utilisateur, un plafond de dépense ainsi que le montant disponible. Lorsque l'utilisateur désire faire un achat par l'intermédiaire de son système informatique, il insère simplement le disque dans le lecteur (12 ou 14) disponible et lance un programme de paiement. Ce paiement est alors automatiquement enregistré par le vendeur qui relève toutes les informations du disque. Ce disque peut être un disque de crédit ou un disque de débit, à l'image des cartes de crédit courantes. Toutes les informations du disque peuvent être reproduites sur une carte de sortie normale ce qui permet à l'utilisateur de remplacer le disque par une introduction manuelle des informations de la carte ou supprime le besoin d'entrer manuellement les informations par le système téléphonique. Ce système fonctionne également très bien pour les opérations à prépaiement.
