Abstract
The invention relates to an arrangement in an electrically driven mining vehicle. The arrangement is intended for use in connection with a mining vehicle comprising a tool part (3) for connecting different tools and devices needed in mining operations, and a power unit (4) for driving the mining vehicle. The vehicle further comprises a rapidly connectable, replaceable power supply unit (6) comprising either means for supplying external electric power or means for generating electric power in the unit itself. The power supply unit may therefore comprise, for example, a cable drum equipment (13), a combination of a diesel engine (7) and a device producing electricity, or fuel cells (15).
Claims
1. An arrangement in an electrically driven mining vehicle comprising a tool part (3) for connecting tools and actuators required in mining and for using them in mining operations, an electrically driven power unit (4) for supplying to different actuators of the mining vehicle the driving power they require, and a replaceable power supply unit (6) comprising a cable drum which can be installed in the mining vehicle with fastening means and connected with electric coupling means to supply external electric power to the mining vehicle, characterized in that the power supply unit (6) which comprises a cable drum can be replaced by an electricity generating power supply unit (6).
2. An arrangement according to claim 1 , characterized in that the electricity generating power supply unit (6) comprises a combustion engine (7) that is arranged to drive an electric generator (8) for generating the electric power required for using the mining vehicle.
3. An arrangement according to claim 1 , characterized in that the electricity generating power supply unit (6) comprises at least one fuel cell unit (15) for generating the electric power required by the mining vehicle.
4. An arrangement according to claim 1 , characterized in that the electricity generating power supply unit (6) is arranged to be used as an independent unit generating electricity when it is not connected to the mining vehicle.
