Abstract

Beschrieben wird eine Vorrichtung zum kraftschlüssigen Umschliessen eines zylinderförmigen Werkstückes zum gezielten Aufbringen eines um die Werkstücklängsachse auf das Werkstück einwirkenden Drehmoments, mit wenigstens zwei Spannbacken, die an der Kontur des Werkstückes anlegbar sind. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass eine Kraftquelle vorgesehen ist, die die Spannbacken derart betätigt, dass die Spannbacken das Werkstück unter Beaufschlagung einer, ursächlich von der Kraftquelle herrührenden Spannkraft kraftschlüssig, wenigstens teilweise greifen, und dass die Kraftquelle mit den Spannbacken derart in Wirkverbindung steht, dass im Zustand kraftschlüssigen Umschliessens des Werkstückes von den Spannbacken auf das Werkstück um seine Werkstücklängsachse ein Drehmoment einwirkt, dessen das Drehmoment verursachende Kraft ursächlich von der Kraftquelle herrührt, und dass die Spannkraft proportional zum herrschenden Drehmoment ist.
