Definitions
- the present invention relates to an autonomous portable acupuncture device of the type comprising a housing having on its underside at least one stud constituting the terminal of a pulse generator mounted in the housing and means being provided for putting a removable fixing of the housing on a part of a patient's body.
- Percutaneous treatment devices using electrical stimulation are known.
- an apparatus comprising a module which has a surface intended to be applied against a wall of the body of the carrier and of conductors whose end portions are immobilized in the module and protrude from the surface applied against the body in areas which correspond to acupuncture points on the body of the wearer specific to a specific therapy.
- the projecting parts have a diameter of the order of a millimeter and the edges of the surface from 0.5 to 1 mm.
- the conductors are intended to transmit electrical pulses and the generator supplies pulses at a voltage of 1 to 9 Volts.
- Document GB-A-2 148 717 describes a portable belt which includes an electrical circuit including a transformer, and a battery and at least one electrode which has the form of a buffer whose concave surface allows it to s '' easily adapt to the particular place where you want to perform the treatment. An electrode can be movable along a path.
- Document GB-A-2 216 800 describes an eye massage device which makes it possible to relax the muscles surrounding the eyes and to stimulate the blood circulation thereof. Such a device comprises a flexible belt having a plurality of protruding massage elements distributed symmetrically. The elements are electrically connected to each other and also to a source of low frequency generation which produces continuous pulses at low frequency.
- Document FR-A-2 662 076 describes an autonomous portable acupuncture device comprising a housing having on its underside at least one metal stud, the stud constituting the output terminal of a pulse generator mounted in the housing and means being provided to allow removable fixing of the housing on a part of the body of a patient.
- the pulse generator comprises means for presetting the pulses in amplitude (from 1 to 12 Volts) in duration (100 milliseconds to 2 seconds) and in frequency (0.5 to 10 Hertz).
- a diode is mounted at the output of the pulse generator in parallel on the pads in order to flash at the frequency emitted by the generator, this diode being mounted on the housing, preferably on the top.
- the invention relates to an autonomous portable acupuncture device comprising a box having on its underside a plurality of metal pads, each pad constituting the output terminal of a pulse generator mounted in the box and means being provided to allow removable fixing of the housing on a part of the body of a patient, characterized in that each stud is connected with at least one stud, by means of an electronic program which includes seven functions, the connections between the studs being chosen according to the condition to be treated.
- the pads are placed in a 3 x 3 matrix.
- the pads P7, P9 being directed towards the thumb of the user, and the pads C6, C5, C7 being directed towards the little finger, when the device is placed on the wrist of the patient.
- a switch comprising a flashing diode and the device is such that one sends pulses of one second every two seconds and thus performs 40 cycles of three seconds.
- the device therefore operates for two minutes.
- the device includes a power supply battery and possibly a solar collector.
- the studs can be made of different metals.
- the studs can be magnetized or they can be slightly pointed to better stimulate the acupuncture points.
- Figure 1 is a top view of the device of the present invention without the bracelet.
- Figure 2 is a view along line YY of the device of Figure 1.
- Figure 3 is a bottom view of the device of Figure 1.
- Figure 4 is a sectional view along the axis XX of the device of Figure 1.
- Figure 5 is a schematic view of the connection of the pads and the microprocessor.
- FIG. 1 there is shown the device according to the invention which comprises a metal frame 1 and a rounded housing 2 and a base 3.
- the metal frame is slightly curved like the base 3, so as to adapt to the wrist of a patient.
- P studs protrude from the base 3 and can be applied to the wrist of a patient.
- a button 4 is raised in relation to the housing 2. This button 4 is provided with a flashing diode which flashes during the entire cycle, namely for two minutes.
- FIG. 5 is an electronic diagram showing the connection of the pads C5, C6, C7, CS6, CS7, P7 and P9 and the ground with the microprocessor 5 which is powered up by the switch 6 and the battery 7.
- the pads are connected together during the assembly of the device according to the present invention, the device is powered by two batteries of 3 Volts each 6 and 7 and the pulses on the pads are 5 to 6 Volts. The pulses last one second every two seconds for 40 cycles.
- the studs are linked and work simultaneously in the following way: to fight against weight: C7, C5, P9, P7 to fight against stress (anxiety, phobia, spasmophilia, stage fright): C7, C5, CS7 , P9 to fight against insomnia: C6, C5, C7, CS6, P9 to improve memory: CS6, P9, C7 to fight smoking: C6, C7, P9 to fight impotence, frigidity: C7, CS6 to fight against nausea, vomiting, motion sickness: CS6, C9
- the pads P7, P9 are placed on the side of the patient's thumb. The pads constitute an output band of a pulse generator mounted in the housing.
- the light-emitting diode is mounted at the output of the pulse generator in parallel on the pads and flashes at the frequency emitted by the generator.
- the device can include an electrical power source constituted by a solar collector.
- the studs can be made of different metals or different alloys which are more or less conductive, which thus make it possible to better stimulate the acupuncture points.
- the studs are in the form of a truncated cone, the smallest base of the cone then resting on the patient's skin, on the ventral side of the wrist.
- the housing can be made of thermosetting plastic.
