Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'α1-antitrypsine (α1-AT), ou de variantes de celle-ci caractérisé par: i) l'introduction dans des cellules végétales monocotylédones, d'un acide nucléique comportant une séquence codant pour l'α1-antitrypsine (α1-AT) ou pour une variante de celle-ci, les variantes se différenciant de l'α1-AT humaine naturelle par une ou plusieurs substitution(s), délétion(s) ou insertion(s) d'acides aminés, et éventuellement une séquence codant pour un agent sélectif; ii) sélection des cellules ayant intégré de manière stable l'acide nucléique; iii) propagation des cellules transformées en culture, ou régénération de plantes entières chimériques ou transgéniques; iv) récupération et éventuellement purification de l'α1 -antitrypsine ou de ses variantes, ainsi produites.
