Abstract

Amélioration apportée au décodage de la modulation à codage discontinu en treillis, qui utilise des mesures de branche standard pour des symboles formés par des bits continus et qui utilise, pour des symboles formés par des bits discontinus, une mesure de distance partielle sur la base de la décomposition des composantes I et Q dans l'espace de constellation du signal. Selon la présente invention, le décodage des symboles discontinus consiste à calculer une première mesure de distance partielle pour chaque état dans un premier intervalle et à choisir une voie survivante sur la base de la première mesure de distance partielle. Dans un second intervalle, une seconde mesure de distance partielle est calculée pour chaque état et une voie survivante est sélectionnée sur la base de la seconde mesure de distance partielle. Les mesures de distance partielle sont accumulées dans la mesure de chaque état pour une séquence de symboles reçus. Ladite approche par les mesures est applicable aux applications MDP et MAQ.
