Definitions

  • the invention relates to an apparatus producing strokes and having a linearly moving hammering mass and in which the striking object is inside the vibrator since the vibrator is mainly arranged around the striking object and movable in the direction of the object.
  • the advantages of the invention are that in the vibrator the stroke-producing moving mass, piston or similar hits directly a small-mass clamping device around the object and thereby the stroke gets almost completely transmitted almost to the object.
  • the vibrator and the clamping devices can be turned 180 p in order to change the hammering direction.
  • the vibrator can be adapted for different striking objects. Even long piles can be driven at close distance from the ground, whereby the basic machine that carries the vibrator can be even by 50% smaller than those previously used, since the pile must not be hammered straight from top.
  • the basic machine boom can be 30 - 50% shorter than the corresponding previous ones.
  • Fig. 1 is a side view of basic machine and vibrator.
  • Fig. lb is a side view of vibrator with piston in upper position.
  • Fig. 2 is the vibrator profile.
  • Fig. 3 is the clamping device arrangement profile.
  • Fig. 4 is the clamping device arrangement from above.
  • Fig. 5 is another clamping device arrangement.
  • Fig. 6 is the clamping device arrangement for a profile.
  • Fig. 7 is a side view of the vibrator in figure 6.
  • Figure 1 shows a truck as basic machine, the front of which is furnished with a vertical boom.
  • the vibrator is fixed to the boom by means of a spacing piece 3, which contains the turning function.
  • the vibrator comprises a guiding bar 2.
  • the ends of parts supporting the vibrator moving mass 5 are furnished with rolls 7 rolling in rail 2.
  • the vertical motion of the hammering mass is around the striking tube.
  • the outer lining of the vibrator is a noise reduction layer 6.
  • Figure lb shows lifting cylinder 11 of percussion hammer (mass) 12, by means of which the hammer 12 is lifted to the upper position as per figure.
  • a gripping arrangement 9 is shown, which has a clamping device for grasping tube 4.
  • the clamping device has a cylinder 10, by means of which the apparatus is pre-tightened around the tube.
  • the clamping device can also slide on rail 2.
  • Figure 2 shows a profile of one vibrator, where the percussion hammer 12 (mass) is adapted to strike straight on clamping devices 14, which are sector blocks and pre-tightened around tube 4 both in the lower and the upper part of the hammer.
  • the striking faces 15 and 19 are bevel, in this case cones, whereby the hammer stroke compresses the clamping devices 14 still more against tube 4.
  • the hammer has a two-way stroke, which is reached when the stroke of the moving mass inside the hammer is directed downward a split second later than the actual mass.
  • FIG 3 shows, the lower gripping arrangement 14, e.g. of the apparatus as per figure 2, in connection with tube 4.
  • the gripping arrangement 14 is divided, for instance, into four sector blocks, whereby they can be brought closer to the tube by a special clamping device 20,10.
  • the hydraulic cylinder 10 works as a tensioner twining tensioning part 21 of chain 22 by means of rod 20.
  • the chain is twined in a groove around all the blocks 14.
  • Figure 4 shows from above the fitting of chain 2% and another tensioning means in using cylinder 10.
  • the reset of blocks after expired pre-tightening takes place by means of springs 23.
  • the sector blocks must be quite accurately formed as per each tube diameter.
  • FIG 5 a further embodiment is shown, where by means of a cylinder a motion between hammer portion 28 and anvil portion 27 is produced.
  • Figure 6 shows a clamping device 30 for grasping profiles of different shape and for taking the clamps even from the side to the profile. Pre-clamping by means of cylinder 31.
  • Figure 7 is the side view of a solution, where the percussion hammer 12 is above clamping device 30 and its strokes are focused at the clamping device and thereby at profile 29. With cylinder 11 hammer 12 is lifted up to the hammering space. In the lower part of hammer 12 there can be bevel faces and corresponding bevel counter-faces can be formed in the grasping pieces 32 of device 30, the grip of which pieces to profile 29 would thereby be improved by a stroke on said pieces.
  • the hammer is most suitably lifted up by means of a hydraulic cylinder, which can be single-acting, i.e. lifting only. Double-action is possible either to accelerate the mass or even with regard to function, if the device is used in a position turned 180°.
  • the clamps are made light-weight in order not to waste striking energy, meant for their motions, on the object. They can be light, when the stroke is focussed on them over a bevel counter face and the bevelling is so chosen that due to the stroke the object-compressing parts increase the degree of clamping.
  • Several clamping devices can be arranged on the hammer (mass) area, whereby the tightness of grasp is secured and the tube does not become exposed to buckling or sagging. With the hammer it is possible to strike upward in turning the vibrator upside down.
  • the clamping devices are small, they can be favourably produced in series always for tubes, piles or profiles of different sizes.
  • the vibrator can be a closed annular construction that can be arranged around the object or it can be partly open as per figure 6.
  • the vibrator is especially well suitable for pile-driving in a low space, whereby the piles must often be extended, but piling is not possible in said spaces without pile lengthening.
