Abstract
Cette invention concerne des catalyseurs qui permettent de synthétiser du méthylmercaptan que l'on utilise dans la production de méthionine, de produits chimiques agricoles et d'autres composés chimiques. Cette invention permet d'accroître l'activité du catalyseur tout en conservant une grande sélectivité en ce qui concerne le méthylmercaptan. A cette fin, le catalyseur comprend les éléments suivants: un composé de potassium consistant en de l'aluminate de potassium KAlO2; un composé de tungstène consistant en de l'oxyde amorphe de tungstène (YI)-WO3; et enfin, un oxyde d'aluminium qui possède un volume de pores de transport d'au moins 0,06 cm3/g, le rayon des pores variant de 70 à 100 nm, et qui contient un des éléments du groupe comprenant du sodium, du bore ou un mélanges de ces derniers. Les composants du catalyseur sont présents dans les proportions suivantes: de 7,0 à 12,1 % en poids d'oxyde de tungstène (YI), de 6,0 à 10,0 % en poids d'aluminate de potassium, de 0,3 à 3,0 % en poids d'oxyde de sodium et/ou de bore ou d'un mélange de ces derniers, le reste se composant d'Al¿2?O3.
