Abstract

An airbag system built in the steering wheel (11) is provided to all kinds of automotive vehicles, said airbag system includes a compartment (10) and an inflation device (30), the compartment including: a lower case (13) coupled with a steering frame (12) attached to the center of a steering wheel (11); a steering boss (14) that passes through the center of the steering frame (12) and couples with it; a reception box (15) for allowing the inflation device (30) to be inside the steering frame (12); an airbag case (16) holding an airbag (A) connected to the inflation device (30), which is mounted on the reception box (15); and an assembly plate (17) for integrating the outside of the airbag case (16) with the reception box (15), and the inflation device (30) including: a movable portion (40) which includes one fixed end, and the other free end turning on the fixed end when the impact over a specific speed is applied to the front of a vehicle; a support portion (50) for releasing a trigger portion (70) that is supported by it when the free end of the movable portion (40) descends; a firing spring loaded trigger portion that turns to strike a piercing pin (80) when the support force is released by the support portion (50); and a discharge manifold (90) which is operated by the trigger portion, to guide the discharge, to the airbag (A), of the gas jet ejected from the gas cylinder (96).
