Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de protection de données pour données numérisées, capable d'utiliser à la fois un cryptage et des techniques stéganographiques. Les données sont cryptées au moyen de protocoles et d'algorithmes sélectionnés. Le cryptogramme résultant est ensuite traité par codage stéganographique pour former un flux de données secondaire. On réalise ce codage en remplaçant le bit le moins significatif d'octets sélectionnés dans le second flux de données par les bits du cryptogramme. La sélection de ces octets est opérée via un cryprogramme créé au moyen d'une procédure de cryptage distincte qui utilise une clé de cryptage à la fois comme clé et comme données à crypter. Le format du flux de données secondaire est habituellement choisi de telle manière que les modifications ne soient pas apparentes. Le données modifiées peuvent soit être mémorisées en vue d'une utilisation ultérieure, soit être transmises au destinataire désiré. Le décodage comprend l'utilisation du cryptogramme pour trouver les octets sélectionnées dans le flux de données secondaire modifié, l'extraction des bits les moins significatifs et le réassemblage de ces bits pour obtenir les données d'origine. Ces techniques de cryptages servent également à sauvegarder les données de manière sûre. On commence par crypter les données à sauvegarder en appliquant les protocoles de cryptage et les algorithmes sélectionnés. Le cryptogramme résultant est ensuite divisé en parties multiple, et chacune de ces parties est mémorisée dans un emplacement sélectionné sur une disquette distincte, cet emplacement étant déterminé par un procédé de cryptage distinct qui produit un cryptogramme de sélection pour sélectionner les emplacements de mémorisation. Les parties restantes de chaque disquette sont ensuite remplies avec des données aléatoires pour dissimuler l'identité de l'information sauvegardée. Pour restaurer les données d'origine on utilise le cryptogramme de sélection pour localiser les données mémorisées sur chaque disquette, ces données sont ensuite lues et réassemblées en un bloc de données, puis les blocs de données de chaque disquette sont fusionnés pour recréer les données d'origine.
