Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte aux techniques de traitement laser de matériaux solides, et concerne plus précisément une technique qui permet de former des images dans un volume défini par un article transparent, et d'obtenir divers effets en couleur. Les procédés traditionnels de formation d'images tridimensionnelles à l'intérieur d'un volume comprennent les étapes suivantes: focaliser un faisceau laser en un point donné du volume du modèle transparent; illuminer le modèle selon une densité de puissance qui dépasse la valeur seuil de claquage volumétrique du matériau dont est fait le modèle; et enfin, déplacer le modèle par rapport au faisceau laser selon des instructions prédéterminées. Ce procédé se distingue des procédés traditionnels en ce qu'il permet d'obtenir des images tridimensionnelles et en couleur à l'intérieur du volume. A cette fin, ce procédé de formation d'images tridimensionnelles à l'intérieur d'un volume consiste à illuminer chaque point de l'image à former dans le modèle transparent à l'aide d'un faisceau laser focalisé, ceci selon une densité de puissance qui dépasse la valeur seuil du claquage optique et volumétrique du matériau. Toutefois, à la différence du prototype, on utilise en qualité de modèle transparent un matériau poreux dans lequel on introduit au moins une substance, laquelle va changer de manière irréversible ses propriétés physiques et chimiques dans le volume du modèle transparent sous l'effet des facteurs du claquage optique et volumétrique.
