Abstract

A transport bed, primarily for one-man operated personal transport, where the transport bed has wheels (2) and is arranged for use with a wheelchair lift which is installed in a vehicle; where the transport bed has virtually the same height as a regular hospital bed; where a 'heart support tray' (1a), which has an adjustable angle on the bed bottom which supports the upper body of the person being transported; where the bed bottom (1b) which supports the feet of the person being transported with the aid of a hinge connection against the bed bottom (1a) which supports the upper body of the person being transported, has a stepless adjustable angle of climb in relation to the bed frame (1d). That which is new, and which distinguishes this transport bed is, among other things, the fact that the foot of the bed bottom which supports the feet of the person being transported is arranged to be extended by means of an extension piece (1e); and where the bed bottom (1a) which supports the upper body of the person being transported has torsion bar suspsension (1f, 1g).
