Abstract

The present invention relates to a transparent coating agent that comprises a layered silicate capable of forming a colloidal gel in the presence of water. This invention also relates to the preparation of this agent and to its use for reducing the soiling process of facades.

1. Transparentes Beschichtungsmittel, enthaltend mindestens ein mit Wasser ein kolloidales Gel bildendes synthetisches Schichtsilikat.1. Transparent coating composition comprising at least one synthetic layered silicate forming a colloidal gel with water.
2. Beschichtungsmittel nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Schichtsilikat ein nanoskaliges Schichtsilikat ist.2. Coating composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the layered silicate is a nanosize layered silicate.
3. Beschichtungsmittel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Schichtsilikat eine mittlere Teilchengröße von 5 bis 800 nm besitzt.3. Coating composition according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the phyllosilicate has an average particle size of 5 to 800 nm.
