Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un système de communication permettant de faire circuler des informations entre des services d'information et des dispositifs terminaux sur un réseau à paires torsadées. Les services d'informations comprennent un central téléphonique et d'autres services, tels qu'un réseau de données et un système de distribution de télévision. Les dispositifs terminaux peuvent être des téléphones et d'autres dispositifs, notamment des ordinateurs et des télévisions. Le système comprend une interface d'informations principale couplée aux services d'informations et un réseau de câblage à paires torsadées couplé aux dispositifs terminaux et à l'interface d'informations principale. Le réseau de câblage comprend plusieurs paires téléphoniques actives permettant de transférer les signaux vocaux entre le central téléphonique et les téléphones. L'interface d'informations comprend des circuits permettant de combiner sur les paires téléphoniques actives: (a) les signaux téléphoniques dans une bande de fréquences téléphoniques circulant entre le central téléphonique et un ou plusieurs téléphones, et (b) les signaux HF dans une bande HF dont les fréquences sont supérieures à celles de la bande de fréquences téléphoniques transférant l'information entre les autres services d'informations, et un ou plusieurs dispositifs terminaux.
