Description
Anregendes Schnupfmittel Stimulating snuff
Schnupftabak), vgl. DE-PS 23 13 996, Derwent Abstract 90- 271101/36 und US 45 45 392. A large number of snuff agents are already known which contain tobacco or tobacco extracts such as nicotine (so-called snuff), cf. DE-PS 23 13 996, Derwent Abstract 90-271101 / 36 and US 45 45 392. EP 01 48 748 A2 discloses another snuff which contains an essentially pure nicotine salt, a water-soluble excipient and optionally an organic acid contains. Organic sugars are used as Streckπ.Atel.
However, nicotine-containing substances are extremely harmful and lead to an increased risk of heart attack. When used continuously, they lead to coronary artery disease and physical dysfunction. In addition, the absorption of nicotine through the nasal mucosa causes irritation to the respiratory tract, a runny nose or watery eyes, nausea, headache, dizziness and palpitations. Tobacco, moreover, contains a number of gesundheitsschädli ¬ chen additives, some of which are carcinogenic. In contrast, it is the object of the present invention to provide a new snuff which does not have the disadvantages of snuff containing tobacco or nicotine.
This problem is solved by a snuff which contains neither tobacco nor nicotine and which contains at least one stimulating, stimulating or stimulating agent (hereinafter referred to as 'stimulating agent') (claim 1).
Snuffing agents have the advantage that they do not annoy other people, e.g. comes from smoke and that clothes and hair do not accept the smell of smoke (so-called cold smoke).
According to the invention, in particular sympathomimetics and / or analeptics are considered as stimulating agents (claim 2). This includes above all noradrenaline and such substances, which can release noradrenaline physiologically, provided that these are not covered by the Narcotics Act.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the stimulating agents are powdered coffee, tea, mate and / or cocoa with a natural content of stimulating substances. The dried and ground plant components (e.g. coffee beans, tea leaves) typically have a e.g. Caffeine content between 0.5 and 8 wt .-%. If necessary, extracts of these natural crop products can also be used as stimulating agents, these tyoically having a higher concentration of the stimulating substances, e.g. of caffeine.
Powdery additives obtained after drying and, if necessary, roasting the seeds of the creeping plant Paullinia sorbilis or cupana, or extracts of these seeds (guarana) are preferably used as stimulating agents (claim 3). Also in pulverized form, dried fruits of a Chinese shrub (Schizandra) with their natural content of stimulating substances are used as stimulating agents in a preferred embodiment of the snuff according to the invention or in combination with other stimulating agents within the meaning of the present invention. The natural content of stimulating substances remains unchanged. Extracts can also be used in this case.
In a further preferred embodiment, at least one methylxanthine present as a concentrate, i.e. e.g. Caffeine, theobromine and / or theophylline, used as stimulant (s) in the snuff (claim 4).
