Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour la prévention des maladies des végétaux, caractérisé en ce que l'on applique un extrait de levure et/ou de la méthionine à un végétal pour ainsi provoquer la genèse de la phytoalexine. L'invention concerne également une composition à cet effet, qui est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un extrait de levure et/ou de la méthionine comme principe actif. Ce procédé et cette composition favorisent la genèse de la phytoalexine qui est une substance antimicrobienne biosynthétisée par le végétal en soi pour ainsi permettre l'amélioration de sa résistance aux champignons pathogènes. Le procédé et la composition sont écophiles, peu onéreux et sans danger.
