As examples of calibers, one can mention, e.g., cal. 243; 308W; 6.5; 30.06; 8x57; 9.3 x 57; 9.3 x 62, etc.
  • the tolerances for the engagement between the sleeve and the gun barrel will be so high that it will be possible to screw the gun barrels into and out of the fixing sleeve by manual power.

  • a fitting and stop edge 12 is thereby formed for the front edge section 13 of the fixing sleeve upon threaded engagement between gun barrel 1 and fixing sleeve 2, whereby there is also attained an automatic self-alignment of barrel 1 when it is screwed into the fixing sleeve.
  • the posterior unthreaded portion 6 has an axial extent that is 2 to 4 times the axial extent of the anterior threaded portion. In the preferred embodiment, the axial extent of the posterior unthreaded portion 6 is about three times the axial extent of the anterior threaded portion 7 on gun barrel 1.

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de réunir un canon de fusil (1) et une boîte de culasse (3, 4). Un manchon de fixation (2) est disposé entre le canon de fusil (1) et la boîte de culasse (3, 4). Le manchon de fixation (2) comporte, du côté contigu au canon de fusil (1) une partie filetée (8) à l'intérieur, et du côté contigu à la boîte de culasse (3, 4), une partie d'engrènement (9, 9', 9') conçue pour permettre un engrènement fileté, une fixation de baïonnette, un engrènement de tige de verrouillage ou un raccordement similaire avec la boîte de culasse (3, 4). Le canon de fusil comprend une zone arrière (5) s'étendant totalement ou partiellement dans le manchon de fixation (2), cette zone arrière (5) possédant une partie filetée antérieure (7) destinée à s'engrener avec la partie filetée (8) à l'intérieur du manchon de fixation, et une partie non filetée (6) postérieure à la partie filetée antérieure (7).
