Abstract

La présente invention concerne la construction mécanique et peut s'utiliser pour abaisser la toxicité des gaz de combustion, par exemple de moteurs à combustion interne. Elle assure le libre passage des gaz de combustion à travers un dispositif, ce dont il résulte un accroissement considérable du rendement des installations, et garantit en même temps un niveau élevé d'épuration des gaz de combustion et un amortissement efficace du bruit. Le dispositif selon l'invention comprend un corps (I) dans lequel sont conformées par des cloisons perforées (5, 7) une chambre d'admission (2), une chambre centrale (3) et une chambre d'évacuation (4). Dans la chambre d'admission (2) et dans la chambre d'évacuation (4) sont installées, en correspondance avec la chambre d'admission (9) et la chambre de sortie, des tubulures pourvues d'ouvertures de dimension variable (10, 13) et contenant des éléments d'épuration (11, 14) fixés uniquement par un collet. Dans la chambre centrale (3) est installée une cloison perforée supplémentaire (6) formant une chambre intermédiaire (15) dans laquelle peut être installé un élément d'épuration (16). Les éléments d'épuration (11, 14) installés dans les tubulures (9, 12) sont réalisés sous forme de corps hélicoïdaux flexibles.
