Description
DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION OTTO AND DIESEL ENGINES
The invention constitutes a device for internal combustion OTTO and Diesel engines, intended to reduce fuel consumption and neutralize hairnful and toxic emissions, and connected to the fuel line and containing magnets mounted in a plastic casing.
Numerous alternatives have been designed by vehicle operators and manufacturers for internal combustion OTTO and Diesel engines in order to reduce both fuel consumption and the pollution of the environment.
For a long time and on numerous occasions, the literature has been dealing with the results attained in finding a solution to these questions. The most advanced solutions in the literature were found in patent specifications.
In the design under registration number US 4460516, the device consists of a U-shaped frame, containing a rectangular magnet attached to a tube made of felt or foil. The magnet's north pole is oriented upward, and the device is attached to the fuel line.
The design of the specification under registration number DE OS 3403797 consists of a tube-like arrangement inside a plastic casing, which is mounted between the pipe-ends of the fuel line and which also contains a rectangular magnet.
The design according to the specification under registration number US 4715325 is a configuration similar to the previous one, also attached to the fuel line, with a series of balls running in various guides situated inside the tube of the device. The balls are made from the following metals: Cu comprises more than half the composition, with Zn, Ni, Sn, Fe, Sb, S, and Mn in decreasing proportions, comprising the alloy, and another alloy made from the first five constituents.
In the design of the patent specification under registration No. US 4460516, the magnet is ring-shaped and has a coercivity of 50 to 250 oersteds. The device is installed in the axis of the incoming fuel flow in this case as well.
The above-mentioned designs share the features of achieving low fuel savings and being environmentally friendly, namely that only certain, in reality few, components of the medium exiting the combustion chamber can be neutralized by using them. Furthermore, the designs are physically complicated, rather complex, difficult to manufacture, are capable of fulfilling the objectives to a limited extent only, and, for the very reason of complexity, are quite expensive. In order to fulfil the objectives set for our samples, the designs of the specifications were examined, but unfortunately they failed to help us in elaborating the design, therefore, new methods and techniques had to be found for our experiments. The objective of our sample was to reduce fuel consumption to a greater extent and neutralize a wider range of pollutants haimful to the environment.
So the design constituting the invention is a device for internal combustion OTTO and Diesel engines, intended to reduce fuel consumption and neutralize harmful emissions. The device is attached to the fuel line and contains magnets mounted in a plastic casing in such a way that the device's plastic casing consists of two sections of different diameters, one large and one small. The larger diameter section contains three rectangular magnets of identical size, forming the sides of an equilateral triangle with the south poles of the magnets in the triangle facing inward and the north poles outward, and the longitudinal axis defined by the magnets coinciding with the device's, while the smaller diameter section contains six to twelve, preferably ten, zinc or zinc alloy pellets. The zinc pellets are six millimetres thick with a diameter of twelve millimetres in order to facilitate the unhindered flow of fuel. Ten zinc pellets are required to attain the efficiency specified.
The design constituting the invention is described in detail using an example on drawings, where:
Figure 1 shows the cross-section of the device,
Figure 2 shows the A-A section of Figure 1 , and
Figure 3 shows the schematic lateral view of the device's position in the vehicle.
More specifically, Figure 1 shows the fibreglass-reinforced plastic casing (4) with a larger diameter section for magnets (2) and next to it the smaller diameter section for holding the zinc or zinc alloy pellets (3), with the sections' ends, each leading to the pellets (3) and the pipe stub (1), designed to have an even smaller diameter.
An expedient configuration of the magnets (2) inside the plastic casing (4), with their N-S orientation indicated, is illustrated in Figure 2, in the section taken from Figure 1.
Figure 3 shows a possible position of the device (6), located between the fuel tank (5) and the carburettor (7), and attached to the internal combustion engine (8).
Anyone can easily install the device constituting the invention on the fuel line, and, surprisingly, using the device it is possible to achieve fuel savings of around 10 to 20 %, with nearly three-quarters of the pollutants being neutralized when the fuel is fed in, so with such a simple and economically produced device, it is possible to attain a better efficiency than by known methods.
