Abstract
L'invention concerne une unité d'hélices contrarotatives comportant deux hélices (8, 39) entraînées dans des directions opposées au moyen d'un seul arbre (2) moteur. Une hélice (8) est directement entraînée par l'arbre (2) qui traverse un support (12) attaché de manière fixe et placé juste derrière le tube d'étambot (1) d'un bateau. L'autre hélice (39) repose sur un anneau (41) qui peut être déplacé axialement le long d'un moyeu (35) d'hélice pour faire varier l'écart entre les hélices. Le moyeu (35) comporte une jupe (34) soutenant un palier étanche (36) qui enferme l'huile à l'intérieur de l'unité tout en permettant une variation régulée de l'écart entre l'unité et le tube d'étambot (1). Un entraînement inversé du moyeu (35) est réalisé par un pignon (23) disposé dans le support (15) et entraîné à partir de l'arbre (2) par un engrenage externe (30) alors que le moyeu (35) est entraîné par un engrenage interne (33). Le montage du pignon (23) dans le support (12) et la fixation du support (12) au tube d'étambot (1) permettent d'obtenir une solidité mécanique de l'agencement, moins enclin aux vibrations que les dispositifs de l'art antérieur.
