  • a magnet is held adjacent the apparatus from the outside of the subject's body, to move the ball downwardly against the spring until it rests against the ball valve stop 23 inside the spring guide fingers 22 within the valve jacket 18. In this open position, the urine flow proceeds through the discharge chamber passageway 34, the central 28 and surrounding 30 discharge passageway outlets and out of the jacket head 26.

Abstract

Dispositif, système et procédé servant à lutter contre l'incontinence urinaire et consistant en un clapet de régulation d'urine conçu pour être inséré à une distance limitée dans l'extrémité distale de l'urètre et comprenant une gaine introduite dans l'extrémité distale de l'urètre. Ce clapet à bille est du type magnétique, sollicité en tension et pouvant se déplacer entre une position ouverte et une position fermée sous l'effet d'un aimant extérieur tenu par le patient à proximité de la gaine. Cette dernière comprend un collier gonflable et dégonflable pouvant être gonflé dans un sens radial afin de stabiliser la gaine extérieure à l'intérieur de l'urètre. Cette gaine extérieure comprend une bride s'étendant vers l'extérieur au niveau de l'autre extrémité s'étendant autour de l'ouverture urétrale. Ce système comporte une pompe pouvant être mise en service avec un doigt afin de gonfler le collier dans la gaine extérieure, de manière à stabiliser la gaine extérieure à l'intérieur de l'urètre. Ce système comprend également une trousse de mesure servant à mesurer la dimension urétrale afin de déterminer la dimension correcte du dispositif de commande à utiliser.
