Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un ensemble capteur de pression optique intégré à une bougie d'allumage (16) et à son couvre-borne (12). Le capteur de pression se compose d'une fibre optique (34) dont la pointe est équipée d'un diaphragme (36) conçu pour détecter la pression et les changements de pression qui s'opèrent à l'intérieur de la chambre de combustion (32) du moteur à explosion. La bougie d'allumage est munie d'un canal (30) qui sert à maintenir le capteur. Le diaphragme (36) du capteur est plus près de l'électrode à étincelles qu'il ne l'est du conducteur électrique enchâssé dans le couvre-borne (12). La fibre optique (34) est placée à l'intérieur d'une tige qui est guidée à travers le couvre-borne (12) et jusqu'à l'intérieur du canal (30). La fibre optique (34) est reliée fonctionnellement et électriquement à l'organe de commande du moteur du véhicule. La connexion opto-électrique jusqu'au contrôleur du véhicule est assurée à proximité d'une bobine (72) dans le couvre-borne (12) ou à distance de la bobine (72). La fibre (34) est entourée par une tige non métallique (22) à l'extérieur du moteur. A l'intérieur du couvre-borne (16), la tige est métallique.
