Abstract

The present invention relates to a system for monitoring the condition of a plurality of lamps, wherein said system comprises lamps (3) connected to the secondary windings of serially connected transformers (2). A lamp-condition monitoring unit (4) is connected to the power supply circuit of each lamp (3), while a main unit (5) is connected through a transformer (2) to the lamp (3) circuit. The lamp-condition monitoring unit (4) comprises a modem, condition detectors, a logic operator with a memory as well as a power supply unit. The main unit (5) comprises a modem, a logic operator with a memory, a power supply unit as well as unit for displaying information and/or exchanging information about the lamp (3) condition with a receiver.
