Abstract

The invention concerns an electronic service unit which comprises: a cuboid housing; a data-processing arrangement housing a screen driver in its interior; and, at the front, a screen which can be pivoted by more than 90° in the region of one edge of the housing. At the rear, the unit comprises connection devices and a data line for connecting the data-processing arrangement to a separate keyboard. According to the invention, in order to develop this unit such that it is easy to operate in different applications, the screen driver is designed such that the display on the screen (4) rotates from a basic position upon a command input via the keyboard (6).

Die Tastatur 6 kann wegen der Datenleitung 7 ohne weiteres bei dieser Anordnung des Servicegerates vor die Rückseite 8 gelegt werden. Ohne besondere Vorkehrungen ist aber in dieser beispielsweise in Fig. 2 gezeigten Lage der Bildschirm 4 auch dann nicht ablesbar, wenn er um 180° hochgeschwenkt ist, weil dann die Anzeige auf dem Bildschirm auf dem Kopf steht. Hier greift die Erfindung an, indem der Bildschirmtreiber so ausgelegt ist, daß er auf einen mit der Tastatur 6 eingegebenen Befehl eine Drehung der Anzeige auf dem Bildschirm 4 um 180° bewirkt; die Anzeige beispielsweise «Test* ist somit auch in einer Lage des Servicegerates gemäß der Fig. 2 ohne Schwierigkeiten ablesbar. Entsprechendes gilt für Einsatzfalle des erfindungsgemäßen Servicegerates, bei denen aus unterschiedlichen Gründen das Gerät auf seiner einen Seitenfläche 10 liegt, wie es in Fig. 3 dargestellt ist.
