CENICERO PERFECCIONADO PERFECTED ASHTRAY
The present invention consists of an improved ashtray that allows to unify several utilities in a single object, among which it is worth highlighting: 1) Increase fire safety by facilitating the extinguishing of cigarettes and cigarettes.
2) Evitar que las colillas que en él se depositen propaguen malos olores al ambiente.2) Prevent butts that are deposited in it spread bad odors to the environment.
4) Facilitate the cleaning of the perfected ashtray itself, by allowing this cleaning to be carried out at longer intervals of time and without having to use water, or other liquid, as a means of storage and evacuation of ash and cigarette butts .
5) Permitir la utilización de fungibles diseñados para ceniceros, reduciendo, en este caso, drásticamente el consumo de los mismos.5) Allow the use of consumables designed for ashtrays, reducing, in this case, drastically the consumption of them.
Smoking is a social fact that every time has less acceptance; consequently, the rights of non-smokers, as taxpayers of the easements that such smoking entails, have deeply sensitized society, which increasingly seeks greater quality of life, even in the smallest details.
On the other hand, it is enough to go to the daily press to perceive how, in many cases, the causes of a fire, it has been a poorly extinguished cigarette butt.
In order to partially solve the above problem, certain ashtray designs are on the market, among which we can mention: ashtrays with practicable cover; ashtrays with double-acting turntable (eject the butts and ash by centrifugal force when turning said platform, and cover the container where they are stored); ashtrays in which the container intended to house ashes and cigarette butts is filled with water, and other varieties based on concepts analogous to those expressed two.
Certain aromatized aggregates designed in order to be deposited in conventional ashtrays can also be found in the market, and thus acclimate the premises where they are located with a pleasant smell. The use of this product is proving somewhat expensive, since these aggregates thus arranged in ashtrays, quickly fill up with ash and cigarette butts, and this mixture has to be evacuated frequently.
Although each of the examples of ashtrays and other solutions mentioned above, manage to provide some (but not all) of the utilities expressed, the improved ashtray described and claimed here, provides all of them in a simple and simple way, based on the following observations: a) The charcoal of a cigarette or lit cigarette disintegrates in a more complete and rapid way if it is crushed against a granular surface, which if it is crushed against a flat surface, achieving in the first case to extinguish the cigar or cigarette more easily. b) Tobacco ashes that have been mixed with an aggregate of the appropriate granulometry tend to be pulverized and deposited in the bottom of the container that contains both (aggregate and ashes), when the whole is removed and / or stirred. c) An important part of the bad odors that occur in a place occupied by smokers, comes from partial quenching of the cigarette butts, and from the evaporation of nicotine and other waste, well accumulated in the cigarette butts that are deposited in the ashtrays, or condensed on the lips of the ashtray where cigarettes or cigarettes are supported during combustion. At the moment when these condensations can be avoided, and on the other hand, the cigarette butts can be easily extinguished and confined in a closed container, the smell in these rooms decreases considerably even if they continue smoking the same amount of cigarettes or cigarettes Based on the foregoing, it follows that the perfected ashtray object of the present invention consists.
En los dibujos:In order to facilitate the explanation, three sheets of drawings are attached to the present description in which, by way of illustration and not limitation, a series of variants referring to said improved ashtray object of the present invention, according to the principles of the claims, have been represented. In the drawings:
An elevation section of one of the variants of the improved ashtray object of the present invention appears in Figure 1. With regard to figures 2, 3 and 4, other elevation sections of different variants referring to the same ashtray are to be seen.
As it is possible to deduce from the indicated drawing sheets, the ashtray object of the present invention is constituted by a container (1) intended to contain aggregates or other granular material (3) with the appropriate granulometry to facilitate the shutdown of the cigarettes or cigarettes that are crushed there for that purpose, while presenting a bottom provided with a grid (6) in order to facilitate the passage of ash through it to a larger container (2) that houses it inside, and in which said ash may be stored (7). With regard to figure 2, it is to be seen therein another variant of the perfected ashtray object of the present invention, in which the assembly described in figure 1 appears located inside another larger container (4), susceptible to facilitate the placement inside the butts (8) previously turned off on the container (1); These butts, through a hole provided, for example, with a swinging closure with counterweight (5) or the like, are inserted inside the indicated container (4), which also has a lid (9) at the top separable from the set, to allow cleaning inside.
With regard to the variant represented in Figure 3, it should be noted that said variant is the result of disappearing from the variant represented in Figure 2, the intermediate container (2), so the container containing the ashes (7) and the dull butts (8) is the same (10).
Finally, as for Figure 4, it should be noted that, in it, the container containing the ashes (2), and the container containing the butts (11), have been juxtaposed laterally, forming a set, but of such that one is located, not inside the other as it happened in figures 2 and 3, but in this case they are simply placed laterally with respect to each other, being the union between the two practicable according to various systems (common transport tray , clips, magnets, etc.). Thus, it can be said, more specifically, that the improved ashtray, object of the invention, has the following elements: a) A container (1) intended to perform three functions: /) contain an aggregate or granular material (3) of the appropriate granulometry to facilitate the extinguishing of cigarettes and cigarettes when they are crushed there for such purpose; I) be the intended place to deposit lit cigarettes while they are being consumed; iii) allow the passage of the ash through the grid (6) that is arranged at the bottom thereof; in this way it is achieved that this container is not saturated with ash and thus prevents the appearance of the surface of the aggregate deposited there. Said grid (6) must have the holes of approximately 1 millimeter of passage, although, in any case, this dimension may vary in accordance with the characteristics of the aggregate or granular material (3) contained in the container. The fact of providing this grid with a spherical dome shape, or similar, optimizes its performance, although it admits other shapes. b) A container (2) that houses the previous one (1) and of larger size, which is intended to store the ashes (7) that cross the grid (6) of the container (1). c) The aggregate or suitable granular material (3), proper, with an approximate grain size of 5 millimeters; other dimensions will always be valid always superior to the hole in the grid.
This aggregate may consist, among other things, of flavored soils for ashtrays like those that already exist in the market; In this case, the improved ashtray provides the utility of saving the consumption of these lands by avoiding premature saturation of the same with ashes, as explained in the description of the container (1). d) A container (4), (10) and (11) intended to house the muffled butts (8) and keep them isolated from the outside in relation to odors and views. This container is provided with a general lid (9) designed to facilitate periodic emptying. Regarding the arrangement of this container (4), (10) and (11) with respect to the containers (1) and (2), several solutions fit, as already mentioned in this description. e) An orifice located in the container (4), (10) and (11) for the entry of muffled butts that in any case is closed each time a muffled butt is inserted into it. Favorably, the closure (5) of this hole may consist of a swinging gate with counterweight that allows the butt to be pushed into said container, after which the lid is closed by the action of the counterweight. Any type of closure that would be easily practicable, preferably and for convenience, with the same hand that is holding the dull butt, or other similar systems would also be useful for these purposes. Once the elements that make up the perfected ashtray are known, its operation is obvious. During the time that the cigar or cigarette is lit, it can be left resting on the edge of the container (1) and with the embers on the aggregate that this container contains; at the time of extinguishing the cigar or cigarette, the grill of the same is crushed against the aggregate (3); this operation removes said aggregate, helping the ash to settle towards the bottom of the container; Finally, the dull butt is inserted into the container (4), (10) or (11) as explained in the description of the hole and its closure (5). If some ash could remain on the surface of the aggregate, it is enough to print a slight swaying movement to the container (1) so that this ash disappears from view, being able to smoke, while using this ashtray, so many cigarettes as it admits the capacity of the containers (2), (4), (10) and (11) without the need of any cleaning, since it does not give off odors, and its appearance at all times is pleasant to keep the ash out of sight and the butts. On the other hand, in cases where the cigar or cigarette is left on the ashtray for a long time, since the aggregate is the support point of the embers during the combustion of the cigar or cigarette, the unsightly nicotine fence is avoided and condensed tars that appear on the supports for cigarettes or cigarettes made of another material.
The evacuation of the butts is carried out by opening the general lid (9) of the container (4), (10) or (11), and the evacuation of the ash is carried out (according to the ashtray variant used) or, through this same general cover (9), or by removing the container (1) from the container (2).
Lógicamente, si se le dota a este cenicero perfeccionado objeto de la presente invención, de los adecuados mecanismos de fijación (análo- gos a los que ya están en uso al respecto), fácilmente podrá ser utilizado este cenicero en vehículos, solucionándose en este caso, el problema frecuente que causan las colillas mal apagadas en dichos vehículos, y los efectos negativos y peligros que esta circunstancia conlleva (malos olores, distracciones que provocan accidentes, colillas encendidas que se lanzan por la ventanilla y que provocan accidentes e incendios forestales, etc.).Logically, if this perfected ashtray object of the present invention is provided with adequate fixing mechanisms (analogous to those already in use in this regard), this ashtray can easily be used in vehicles, being solved in this case , the frequent problem caused by poorly extinguished cigarette butts in said vehicles, and the negative effects and dangers that this circumstance entails (bad smells, distractions that cause accidents, lit butts that are thrown through the window and that cause accidents and forest fires, etc. .).
On the other hand, in any of the cases or variants mentioned of the improved ashtray, both the operation of agitating the aggregate or granular material (3), as well as the opening and closing operation of the butt insertion hole (5), can be automated and / or motorized by means of the convenient arrangement of detectors, servomechanisms, motors, vibrators, etc., which perform said operations in a more comfortable way for the user.
Anything that does not affect, nor alter, change or modify the essence of the perfected ashtray described, may be replaced by its equivalents. Therefore, although the invention has been described by way of example in relation to preferred embodiments, those understood in the subject matter they will understand that such description should not have limiting effects and that all variants that obey the same inventive idea fall within the scope of the appended claims.
