Abstract

Méthode et appareil pour manipuler les grumes difficiles à écorcer. L'écorce de la grume est filamentée ou coupée au moyen de lames (10, 11, 12) de dispositifs de déchiquetage; lesdites lames entrent en contact avec la surface inférieure des grumes à travers les ouvertures pratiquées dans le fond de transport. On alimente les grumes dans les dispositifs de déchiquetage de manière à les aligner sur le sens du mouvement des lames ou à les placer obliquement par rapport au sens dudit mouvement.
