  • the analytic instrument is an integrated electromechanical apparatus which processes specimens in order to generate test results. It is comprised of all the mechanical hardware, electronic hardware and software required to perform immunoassays described herein. It is anticipated that many different constituents in the sample can be tested by immunoassay by the inventive instrument depending on the selection of the biomaterial bound to the inert support (e.g., bead) in the assay tube.
  • the automated design allows reduced user interface (e.g., tests are performed automatically from computer input) including the ability to order, perform and reassay tests reflexively based on test results without operator intervention.

Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un instrument (10) d'analyse de dosages immunologiques automatisé, à haut rendement, susceptible de réaliser des tests en grandes quantités sur une large gamme d'analytes, tout en opérant une sélection parmi un ensemble de divers dosages immunologiques pour chaque échantillon donné. L'instrument (10) d'analyse comporte un sous-système, lequel consiste en un système de distribution de billes (203, 203a-c), permettant le stockage et l'attribution d'une bille unique enrobée de biomatériau compatible avec le type sélectionné de dosage immunologique pour un échantillon donné. L'instrument (10) d'analyse comporte un autre sous-système, consistant en un moyen (209, 209a-c) de stocker des lots de réactifs, et permettant le stockage et le retrait, d'une manière auto-scellante, d'un réactif donné parmi une gamme de différents réactifs stockés. De plus, l'invention porte également sur un système combiné réutilisable de dilution d'échantillon et de puits de dilution d'échantillon (211), et sur un sous-système de poste de lavage de tubes (214) à grande vitesse, permettant de supprimer les besoins en tubes d'échantillonnage ou de dosage possédant des chambres intégrées de collecte de fluides résiduaires.
