Abstract

Cette invention concerne un mélange de terre végétale pour gazons de culture, lequel comprend en outre une matière rocheuse qui consiste de préférence en des morceaux de marbre dont la taille des fractions varie entre 3 et 10 mm. Ce mélange comprend les éléments suivants en % en poids: de 60 à 80 % de terre sablonneuse ou argileuse ou d'humus; de 5 à 20 % de tourbe; de 2,5 à 10 % de matière rocheuse; le reste se composant de sable. Le procédé de production de ce mélange consiste à tamiser la terre sablonneuse ou argileuse, ou l'humus, à l'aide d'un crible dont les cellules ne dépassent pas 12 mm. Le mélange est ensuite versé par temps sec dans un système de drainage ou sur le sous-sol en une couche dont l'épaisseur varie entre 3 et 50 cm en fonction de la vocation du gazon. Cette couche est appliquée depuis le centre du gazon vers les bords en conservant la pente du sous-sol ou du système de drainage. La surface du mélange ajouté ou aplani est ensuite compactée à l'aide d'un rouleau en bois qui pèse jusqu'à 100 kg, et dont le diamètre et la longueur du tambour varient respectivement de 80 à 120 cm et de 130 à 150 cm. Le mélange ainsi déversé est ensuite traité par vapeur pendant 3 à 4 semaines afin qu'il se tasse, ceci tout en l'arrosant quotidiennement en l'absence de pluie.
