Abstract
The invention can be used in sealing technology for rolling-contact bearings in various machines, mechanisms and other equipment. The problem is to design a simplified set of techniques for fitting a labyrinth seal in a rolling-contact bearing and to make the labyrinth more reliable and compact. The invention in essence involves the mechanical machining of variously configured profiles on the inner and outer rolling-contact bearing rings, subsequently treating the inter-annular space of the bearing with an anti-adhesive compound and filling the space with a paste-type anti-friction material to which is preferably added a curing agent. The material hardens under the action of the curing agent and a labyrinth seal of complex configuration is created based on the profiles chosen, said seal preventing extraneous particles from entering the inter-annular space.
