Abstract

La présente invention concerne un support pouvant recevoir une impression par jets d'encre pour donner des images de meilleure qualité. Ce support comprend une base ayant au moins une surface et, sur elle, un revêtement sensiblement non poreux comprenant du monohydroxyde d'alumine incolore et transparent et un polymère organique soluble dans l'eau. Ce dernier comprend lui-même un polymère organique cellulosique soluble dans l'eau et un qui est non cellulosique. Un support d'impression se prêtant à l'impression par jets d'encre élimine ou réduit l'agglutination d'encres correspondantes très diverses et, souvent, il donne un séchage rapide. Ce mode de réalisation comprend: (a) une base matérielle ayant au moins une surface, (b) un revêtement sur cette surface, ledit revêtement comprenant: (1) un liant comprenant un polymère organique dans lequel le poly(oxyde d'éthylène) ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en poids compris entre 100 000 et 3 000 000 constitue au moins 20 % en poids du polymère organique, et (2) des particules sépparées dispersées dans le liant, ces particules ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre allant de 1 à 500 nanomètres.
