Definitions

• the present invention relates to a stand for supporting, in a central cavity of a substantially vertical, central column for a chair or the like, comprising at least three, preferably five supporting legs, each of them formed at one end like a coupling element the coupling elements being provided with first and second locking means, by axial mutual displacement releasably lockable, so that the coupling elements by mutual locking of the locking means form a central body, supporting said central column.
