Abstract

Des défauts isolés, dans les registres à décalage incorporés aux têtes d'impression monolithiques, peuvent rendre inutilisables un grand nombre d'actionneurs d'impression car des données sont bloquées dans une position haute ou basse pour les étages suivants de registres à décalage et d'actionneurs. Cela peut abaisser l'efficacité d'autres moyens de tolérance aux défauts et augmenter la sensibilité du dispositif aux défauts dans les actionneurs individuels qui, normalement, sont redondants. L'invention concerne une tête d'impression qui donne une tolérance aux défauts de blocs dans les registres à décalage, ce qui limite l'effet des défauts de fabrication des registres à décalage à de petits nombres d'actionneurs redondants. Cela permet une probabilité élevée de correction des défauts par d'autres formes de tolérance aux défauts intégrées à la puce et augmente ainsi le rendement d'ensemble du dispositif.
