Abstract
Device for the correction of accommodative visual defects linked to the extended exposition of workers to the luminous irradiation of display terminals, of televisions as well as to reduce the asthenopia due to excessive visual efforts in the artisan, industrial and free-time activities. The glasses help considerably the forced accommodation work of the eye, reducing all consequences deriving from extended visual efforts in the working activities, by means of the variable (from sphere -0,75 to sphere +0,75) and interchangeable lens set at the moment of slight variations of the subjective visual status of the worker. The glasses are realized with four reinforced rubber gaskets, arranged on the internal side of the frame so as to realize a vertical holding of the lens placed in order through the simple pressure of the fingers of the hand.
Description
DESCRIPTION
Glasses with lens set interchangeable to the variation of the subjective status caused by visual tiredness.
TECHNICAL FIELD.
The present invention regards the correction of visual defects linked to the extended exposition of workers to the luminous irradiation of display terminals, or televisions as well as the correction of the asthenopia due to visual efforts in the artisan, industrial and free-time activites.
BACKGROUND ART.
Actually, from the etiological point of view, the factors which cause the visual fatigue are numerous but not all identifiable and can be divided in environmental, ocular and systemic.Among the environmental ones there are the lack of illumination ( insufficient and badly distributed) and the defects of the observation field as details measure (very small printing type, electronic industry and handicraft miniatures), contrast scarcity( as in many modern typographical types) rythmic and continuous movements( industrial assembly lines, reading during journeys). Moreover, together with the environmental aspect it is fundamental for the visual tiredness the ocular one with not corrected ametropias, heteroforias, convergence and fusion deficiencies, anisciconia and mainly,
accomodation troubles for which reason it is fundamental that the operator himself finds the lens more adeguate to his working situation which is linked to the distance and in particular to his accomodation.Relating this to the field of computers, where the indicated glasses have a vast sphere of application, the protective screen subject become inadeguate while the glasses with a variable lens set are applicable to different sibjects and computer working hours. The incoveniences the workers meet always more frequently are polyform and include ocular and general symptons. For this reason it is useful to underline that a legislation regarding this subiect is being considered and it will conform to the one already in force in the European Community, imbued with the knowledge of Occupational Medicine and Ophthalmology to better the Man-Machine-Working Environment-relationship and to limit the periods of illness linked to this kind of pathology.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION.
The idea of these resting glasses allows to relieve the troubles of so many workers and mainly it is useful to prevent the annoyances coming from very slight refractory defects which do not require the use of traditional glasses in the presence of a continuous work which makes worse the otherwise latent pathology. The glasses with corretive lens set of refraction defects, differently from the traditional glasses, allows the
operator to choose the best lens for his working refractive situation. In case that the operator already wears glasses it is enough to add the visual tiredness reduction instrument on the lens. Considering that the nature of the visual tiredness and that grading varies from individual to individual according to his age and his personal reduction process of the accomodation power and still more, after some hours of work with a display terminal or simply the vision of the television screen or in the industrial and artisan works which require precision, the "glasses" allow to modify the worker's refraction which is different as it is reduced with the forced accomodation activity and the capacity of focusing of the lens. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS. To demonstrate better the particular characteristic of the device according to the present idea, there will be now described an example of realization of the "glasses* according to the invention itself, with reference to the enclosed schematic design: FIG.l shows concave lens for myopia with (l)diopters -o,25; (2) diopters -o,50; (3) diopters -o,75; and a neutral lens with (4) diopters o,oo .
FIG. 2 shows lens for hypermetropie with (5) diopters + o,25;
(6) diopters o,50; ( 7) diopters o,75 .
FIG. 3 shows a prospect of the frame with illustrations of the reinforced rubber-gasket for the holding of the glass lens (8)
(thickness 1mm; height 1,5 mm) with an illustrative section of the frame and of the holding mechanism of the lens ( 9) . FIG. 4 shows the whole drawing of the frame with interchangeable lens (10) . MODES FOR CARRYNG OUT THE INVENTION.
Besides the realization example before described, numerous variants are possible ramai ing always in the ambit of the present invention (e.g. little lever and little rings to open and close little circles of the glasses to fit in the interchangeable lens set). It is important to remember that the glasses allow the achievement of advantageous results as regard the traditional glasses, relieving the difficulties linked to the visual situation in the interfacial Man-Machine relationship, increasing the production of the workers in the sector where the "glasses" are used, reducing the length of social disease and, considering the great mechanical simplicity, the cheap costs.
SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 20)
Claims
1. Interchangeable glasses characterized by: corrective of refraction defects including a series of seven interchangeable and variable lens, from sphere -o,75 to sphere +o,75, at the moment of slight variations of the subjective visual status of the workers exposed to the luminous irradiation of display terminals, of televisions as well as to reduce asthenopia due to excessive visual efforts in the artisan, industrial and free-time activities.
2. Interchangeable glasses according to the previous claim, characterized in that, differently from the traditional glasses.it allows the Operator to choose the best lens for his refractive situation to work.In case that the Operator already wears glasses it is enough to add this visual tiredness reduction instrument whose nature varies from individual to individual according to his age and his personal reduction process of the accomodaction power.
3. Interchangeable glasses according to the previous claims , characterized by the fact that it allows to modify the forced accomodation activity and the capacity of forusing of the lens.
