Il comporte un corps fixe (1) et quatre cylindres (3) disposés de manière quadrangulaire, les pistons et les bielles (5) étant distribués à la manière des extrémités des bras repliés d'une croix gammée, se projetant pour être connectés et associés par l'intermédiaire de roulements à billes (11) à deux couronnes face à face (28 et 29) adossées et solidaires du volant moteur (13); des deux faces du volant moteur partent les deux demi-arbres (14 et 19) qui constituent le vilebrequin (12) qui est placé adossé latéralement au corps fixe (1) lequel loge, dans le creux cylindrique central (2), le demi-arbre semi tubulaire (14) qui le traverse jusqu'à la face intérieure par où se fait l'aspiration du mélange combustible, et où se trouvent le carburateur ou élément de carburation, les bougies, le collecteur d'échappement et les boulons de fixation du carter (21) par le centre duquel le demi-arbre moteur (19) sort, monté sur un roulement à billes solidaire du carter.
