Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé d'analyse des pieds utilisant des matrices de capteurs de pression (45, 47) et de capteurs optiques (41, 42, 43, 44, 71, 72, 73, 74) raccordés à un contrôleur (200) et un écran de contrôle (24). L'appareil, constitué d'une structure (22) intégrant un contrôleur (200) et un écran de contrôle (24), définit des cases pour les pieds droit (40) et gauche (70). Le fond de chaque case à pied (40, 70) comporte une matrice de contacts à capteurs de pression (60, 90) recouverte d'un tapis contact à résistance variable (61, 91), lesdits contacts desservant un processeur (230) de signal numérique permettant l'acquisition des données de répartition de la pression plantaire. Des diodes électroluminescentes infrarouge (100, 101, 125, 168, 169, 180) et des phototransistors (135, 136, 157, 171, 172, 175), adressables séparément par un microprocesseur (244) et situés sur le pourtour de chaque case à pied (40, 70), permettent de mesurer la longueur, la largeur et les hauteurs d'un pied. Selon un procédé, le processeur (230) de signal numérique et le microprocesseur (244) fournissent des données permettant au contrôleur (200) de déterminer et d'afficher des recommandations de prescriptions orthostatiques ou des indications quant au choix des semelles, et également de déterminer et d'afficher des informations concernant le centre de pression et le balancement postural, lesquelles sont utiles dans le diagnostic et le traitement de certains problèmes médicaux.
