Abstract

Reflectors (A, B, C, D, E) designed to reflect light waves from motor vehicle headlights in all directions from a stationary or moving bicycle in the dark, are disclosed. One reflector (A) may have a hexagonal tubular shape and be coated with a retro-reflective film. The reflector (A) is provided with a slot (H) extending as far as a channel (i) so that it can be mounted on and removed from a bicycle wheel spoke. Another reflector (B) comprises at least two portions that are mutually engageable by means of a fastening assembly (K) whereby it can be fitted only once to a wheel spoke. A further reflector (C) is provided with a tab (L) whereby it can be fitted only once to a wheel spoke. Still another reflector (D) is provided with a self-tightening device (M) whereby it can only be fitted to the bicycle wheel spoke before the wheel is assembled.
