Abstract
The brassière garment according to the present invention comprises two shoulder-straps (1, 2) that from the front reach out towards the half (M) of the respective shoulders (S) for getting crossed behind the neck after the slight bony curving supporting the head on the side of the back, thus identifying a 'back-point' (4) obtained tracing a diagonal line between the half of each shoulder towards the waist point, so that the weight of the breasts is vectorially transferred, along said diagonals, from the shoulders towards said 'back-point' (4) indicated by said crossing, and realized by a ring (6) for discharging the forces converging along all its circumference. Furthermore, according to a natural and continuous line, after the described crossing on the back, said shoulder-straps are connected again to the frontal cups (C) by means of a tapered, anatomical structure (5).
Description
BRASSIERE WITH SHOULDER-STRAPS CROSSING ON THE BACK
The present invention concerns a brassiere garment with vectorial support, with shoulder-straps crossing on the back, for keeping the breasts erected without weighing or pulling on the shoulders, and for transferring the weight of the breasts to the back-
It is already well known that in the available brassieres the weight of the female breast is supported by the shoulders by means of a supporting shoulder-strap system, said shoulder-straps being connected to the cloth cups covering the breasts. But it has prooved that such a support weighs on the shoulders, with the result that a great part of women - be it due to their age, be it do to the weight of a more or less voluminous breast - has complained a tiring of the shoulder's area and a consequent bending of the same, together with the difficulty of keeping the bust in erected position.
Infact, all existing brassieres have a band on the back to which are linked the ends of the shoulder- straps passing parallel to the neck; said shoulder- straps pull on the shoulders causing stiffening of the skin and tiring of the muscles.
It is the aim of the present invention to completely eliminate above mentioned inconveniences of all existing brassieres by displacing the forces supporting the breast cups, by means of the shoulder- straps, onto the back instead than onto the shoulders.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the brassiere garment according to the present invention, comprising two shoulder-straps that move, on the front, towards the centre of the respective shoulder, get crossed behind the neck just behind the slight bony curving supporting the head, on the side of the back thus identifying the 'back-point' obtained tracing a diagonal between the half of each shoulder towards the waist, so that the weight of the breasts is transferred in vectorial sense, along said diagonals, from the shoulders towards said 'back-point' , found in said crossing and realized by means of a ring or similar for discharging the forces converging along its circumference.
Furthermore, following a continuous and natural line, after the described crossing on the back, said shoulder-straps are again connected to the frontal cups not by means of a band, but by means of a tapered structure of anatomical shape.
The advantages of this new kind of brassiere garment are many:
- a natural movement of the breasts supported by vectorially crossed forces , from above and from below;
- anulment of pressure and squeezing on the shoulders and consequent elimination of suffering and tiring;
- vectorial adjustment of the crossing of the shoulder-straps on the back according to the thoracic circumference of the user;
- aesthetical improvement of the front part, due to a wide decollete according to the line of the shoulder-straps passing over the shoulders nearby their middle, so that it may be used under elegant evening dresses and similar;
- elimination of the back band that squeezes the chest.
The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow according to the enclosed drawings in which some preferred embodiments are shown.
Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of a brassiere garment with vectorial support , with shoulder-straps crossing on the back, according to the present invention.
Figures 2, 3, 4, 5 show a scheme of some possible practical realizations of the structure for the crossing of the shoulder-straps on the back.
Figure 6 shows a possible system for a frontal opening of the brassiere garment.
The enclosed figures show a brassiere garment according to the present invention, with vectorial support and with the crossing of the shoulder-straps on the back, comprising:
- two shoulder-straps 1, 2 linked to the central opening point 3, between cups C directed, with an anatomical curve, in correspondence to the central point M of shoulders S and following on the back with a continuous, diagonal line, from each of said central point M to the waist-point of the opposite part so as to get crossed, in the 'back-point' 4, from which said shoulder-straps continue, after the crossing, for getting connected to the tapered structures 5, laterally linked to said cups, so as to transfer the weight of the breasts from the shoulders to the back;
- a ring 6 provided at the 'back-point' 4 and connected to the upper portions as well as to the lower portions of the shoulder-straps 1, 2, where
all vectorial upper and lower forces for the support of the breasts are applied and balanced;
- two anatomical, tapered structures 5, with a connection of the lower parts of the shoulder-straps 1,2, after the crossing onto said ring is in the 'back-point' 4, with the frontal cups C;
- a frontal opening 7, realized with hooks or clips.
In possible variants of the invention for the realization of the vectorial crossing of shoulder- straps 1, 2 in correspondence of the 'back-point' 4, instead of ring 6 of any dimension and material, a simple overlaying 8 with a seam, or the linking of all ends with a quadrangular structure 9, a rhombic structure 10 or a poligonal stcucture.
Beyond the frontal opening 7, in possible variants according to the present invention, a back opening is provided with an opening means like a ring, or a rectangular closing with hooks or clips, to which are linked the four ends of the shoulde-straps 1,2, connected with seams or similar, so that the resulting mechanism can be opened and closed like a necklace.
