Abstract

Verfahren zur Plasmabehandlung von antiballistisch wirksamen Materialien wie beispielsweise aromatischen Polyamiden in einer zweistufigen Fahrweise. Hierbei erfolgt in der ersten Stufe eine Plasmabehandlung mit mindestens 50 % eines anorganischen Gases oder eines Gemisches anorganischer Gase und in der zweiten Stufe eine Plasmabehandlung mit einem hydrophobierend wirkenden organischen Gas oder mit Mischungen solcher Gase aus der Gruppe der gesättigten Kohlenwasserstoffe, ungesättigten Kohlenwasserstoffe, gesättigten Fluorkohlenwasserstoffe, ungesättigten Fluorkohlenwasserstoffe, Siloxane oder Vinylverbindungen. In der zweiten Stufe kann auch ein Gemisch eines oder mehrerer anorganischer Gase mit einem oder mehreren hydophobierend wirkenden organischen Gasen zur Anwendung kommen. Durch das Verfahren wird eine Verbesserung der antiballistischen Wirksamkeit erreicht.
