Abstract

A label (1) forms together with the surface (5) of a bottle (container) (2) a receptacle (6) which may be reused several times for annex leaflets. Said receptacle is created by lifting part of the label from the surface of the bottle.

Description

A label which, together with the surface of a bottle or a container, forms a receiving space for package inserts (package insert) and protects against breakage and exposure to light.

The invention relates to a label for a bottle or container which:

- Forms a space for a package insert (together with the surface of a bottle) and;

- guarantees adequate protection against breakage and;

- Guaranteed adequate protection against exposure to light.

Such a label serves as a rough information, inseparable from the bottle, about the contents of the bottle.

In order to have the exact information about the contents of a bottle, it is sometimes necessary to include a multi-page package insert of such a bottle, which is very important, especially in medicine.

Known to protect such a package insert from loss and contamination, it is packed together with the bottle or container in a paper folding box, or designed as a glue-free part of the label, which usually has several circumferential lengths of the bottle and that it is folded up for transport purposes .

The disadvantages of this solution are, inter alia, when extracting information (reading), the bottle is permanently attached to the label, so that the consumer must always take care of the bottle so as not to damage it or to spill the contents. Another disadvantage: the package insert is usually made of much thinner paper, but it also has to endure the weight of the bottle and its contents, the label must be made of a much stronger paper, which leads to unnecessary paper consumption. The invention is therefore based on the object to create a receiving space for a usual, separate leaflet with almost unchanged size of the label and to achieve adequate protection against breakage by, for example, folding the edges of the label. An appropriate size of the label also provides protection against the effects of light.

As a result, handling and the safety of the bottle when removing information, in particular in the case of older people, can be significantly improved. The thickness of the paper for the leaflet can also be maintained and the size of the label remains almost unchanged.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the label has a glue-free and raised part, the edges of which are firmly bonded (glued) to the surface of a bottle at least in two places, and in that the glue-free part lifts off the surface of the bottle that together with her forms an open space from at least one side for the storage of a separate leaflet.

The shape and size of the receiving space is to be adapted to the shape and size of the folded leaflet so that its accidental falling out of the receiving space is permanently prevented.

The label according to the invention can in many cases be applied to the bottle (container) using commercially available labeling machines. In special cases, an insignificant change is necessary.

In a further development of the inventive concept, it is provided that the receiving space is open from one side, from two sides (continuous) or from two sides (obliquely). In order to have better access to the grip point of the instruction leaflet and to improve handling, it is proposed, depending on the design, to design one or more recesses in the glue-free and lifted-off part, but this is not absolutely necessary.

1.
