Abstract

Procédé de récupération de petites quantités de contaminants liquides de l'eau, ces contaminants se présentant sous forme d'un soluté ou de la phase dispersée d'une émulsion. Le procédé consiste à mettre en contact, par un procédé de mélange, l'eau contaminée avec un quantité efficace d'un agent de sorption liquide particulaire à base de polyuréthane. L'agent de sorption est extrait de l'eau, généralement par une simple étape de filtration. S'il est nécessaire, l'eau peut être traitée plusieurs fois. Le liquide contaminant récupéré peut être séparé de l'agent de sorption par une étape de centrifugation, et ce dernier peut être réutilisé. De manière typique, la teneur en hydrocarbure d'une eau contenant 10 % de carburant Diesel émulsifié peut être réduite à un niveau inférieur à 200 ppm en un seul traitement.
